This past weekend we took a little day trip up to Columbus. I had been randomly searching Craigslist for a few things when I came across this bar cart. I was sold when I saw the $45 price tag, especially when the one I had been eyeing was $165. Maybe not the deal of the century but I loved the shape and removable trays.
In addition to picking up the bar cart we made a stop at World Market, a local nursery, and an antique shop. I had so much fun with Chris that day, that I've since started looking at Columbus real estate. Totally rational, right? Fun time = move to said city where fun time was had...I'm a crazy person. We won't be moving.
Everything we got that day is on the bar cart. The green pillows were on sale for $5, marked down from $10, which meant I had to get two instead of one. I'm thinking of using them in our dining room to soften up the backs of our chairs. We also bought an obscene amount of beverages. I almost bought sake. I hate sake...World Market (almost) made me do it. They're just that good.
Now on to that bar car. I can't wait to start working on dressing it up. I'm not yet sure if I'm going to spray paint the frame gold or leave it. I like the aged look but then I'm also kinda of excited about this looking polished and new. The trays will also be changing but I'm not sure how yet. Here are some of my ideas - faux malachite, thick black & white stripes, faux pebbling, & faux brick. What do you guys think? What would you do? I want to keep things somewhat neutral so the accessories will really pop.
Did anyone else have an adventure over the weekend? Where have you found some great steals lately?
Happy Wednesday Friends!
