Insta-February 2013

It’s that time of the month again.  A quick pic recap if you will of all things going on in this gals life.  Some inspiring, others, not so much.  February was a good month…a very good month!

HSR Insta February 2013

1 – This is an oldie of two cousins and I at our grandparents pool during one of my summer visits out to Colorado.  I’m in the middle giving Katie my best creeper stare.  If either of you are reading this, I miss you and love you both!!!

2 – Ahh yes, another trip to tile Meca, ie The Tile Shop.  One the days I can sneak out on my lunch, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite stops.  I love being able to see and walk into their displays.  I also like that I can touch everything – I’m aware of how weird that makes me sound but I just couldn’t find a better way to word that.  It’s the truth.

3 – Early morning for a client meeting.  Not always my jam but I dug what I was wearing.  Clearance BR mustard sweater and chambray, yes please!  I really hope mustard never goes out of style.

4 – Holy smokes!  This was the first time I came across one of my projects on Pinterest and I wasn’t looking for it!  Consider this a blogger milestone if you will.  I was excited!

5 – Osculating, Coffee, & Cookies.  Prepping kitchen cabinets ended up being more of a time consuming process than I thought.  So much so that I needed to re-energize. Now I’m hungry.

6 – I still feel weird about taking selfies.  My bangs decided to cooperate on this particular morning so I took one to document the occasion.  It’s a rare one.

7 – Back story – I lost part of my vision late one night for about 20 minutes, completely scared myself and Chris (we were actually on the way to the hospital when it started coming back).  The next day I went to the eye doctor.  They dilated. I completely wigged out from said dilation.  I got to rock some super sexy sunnies on my way back to work!  It ended up being an ocular migraine and all is well.

8 – You know those concerts that are so small that you don’t even sit in the auditorium.  The ones where you’re in the basement.  Chris got me tickets as a Valentine’s/Anniversary gift.  If you haven’t heard of Jukebox the Ghost it’s time to get with the program!

9 – Then the next day he sent pretty flowers to my office!  Bonus, they weren’t roses!  And then I ate a red velvet cupcake, or two.

1 – Party time!  Just a few of the supplies from a baby shower that I co-hosted last weekend!  The invites were red and turquoise with a tricycle.  Best theme ever!

2 – There he is.  The roodle always has to make an appearance on Instagram from time to time.  He has this thing with sleeping on folded laundry.

3 – Just a quick sneak peak of the new blog design done by Brittany.  I was and still am so excited that it’s up and live!

4 – Yay!  Clearly one picture wasn’t enough to discuss the new design.  Plus, it was also a little teaser to my Pinterest Challenge project.

5 – I didn’t really feel like digging for matching socks that morning.  These were easy to find.  I made Santa proud.

6 – Chris’ day off turned into an unexpected one-night getaway for us to Louisville where we ate good pizza and did some bar hopping.  Good times.  And the hotel gave us free Girl Scout cookies.  Score!

7 – To date this is my first, and only, Nate Berkus purchase from Target!  Coming in at less than $5 I just couldn’t resist.  I’m still working on a place for him.  I’m think he would do a grand job sitting atop a stack of books.

8 – Effie Trinket’s in my cube!  I actually came across this picture on Facebook and had to print it out.  It’s says “May the data be ever in your favor.”  A fitting spin on her well known line from The Hunger Games.  I analyze data all day so I even got a little chuckle from it.  I’m lame.

9 – Hey oh!!! My first Joss & Main purchase finally arrived!  I have an update in store for this strapping fella.  More to come on that later.
