Amidst our mini kitchen renovation our master bedroom has managed to get a spotlight as well. Mainly just a cozy, relaxing corner. I have more in store for this room but nothing too crazy. Did someone say botanical prints? Well look at that, you read my mind.
I digress. Back to the looker above. I’ve been on the hunt for an ottoman. Something simple. Something neutral. Something CHEAP! I found a few that I liked but they were $50+ and I couldn’t find a one that I LOVED. I realize I sound a bit cheap but I just wasn’t willing to spend that on something I wasn’t over the moon about for the price. Until I found this gent. Only 13 smackers…and he’s sturdy too!
I had originally planned on doing a dipped leg effect but once I cleaned the piece up I was unsure. I decided to paint the legs first and leave the gold/brass tips as is. Turns out they clean up nicely and I like how they show their age…so I kept ‘em!
I also did a little nip-tuck-staple action to the cushion. Unfortunately, I learned, after the fact, that Chris liked the brown. Maybe, if and when the white stains I’ll debate going back. Until then I think I’m going to put my feet up (shoeless of course) and enjoy!
Did I forget to mention that all of this hub-bub was for the Pinterest Challenge!?!?! Where are my manners…
