Dirty Pop!

Do you ever do a project and then MONTHS pass without even remembering to share them?  I do and you’re finally looking at it.  I know, I know, I went all out right?

We originally snag these hampers back when we were in college because they were cheap.  We still like them but when you have two of the same it kind of leaves things open to mess with one right?

So I did.  My only tip would be to tap together your stencils so they don’t move around as you’re sponging your paint on.  Other than that, it’s really pretty simple. I used Martha Stewart craft paint in a dark navy.

As easy as this project is, I did manage to momentarily screw it up.  It’s the eager beaver in me.  I get excited to finish something, especially something as easy as this, and I make a mistake.

Don’t you worry your sweet little heart though, I fixed it!  I just took the sponge over a few more spots and darkened up the “oppsies” to make it look a little more intentional…maybe industrial even?  Is that a stretch?  Maybe?

That’s okay.  I like the finished product…for now.

I’m linking up to the Dog Days of Winter Link Party! Be sure to head over and check out some of the projects!
